  “Ashhadu an la ilaha illa Allah, wa ashhadu anna Muhammadan rasul Allah”
  (I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His Messenger).
• It’s a declaration of belief in the oneness of Allah and the prophethood of Muhammad (peace be upon him).

• You don’t need to have extensive knowledge of Islam before embracing it. Learning is a continuous journey.
• You don’t need a formal ceremony. While many prefer to embrace Islam in the presence of witnesses at a mosque, this is not a requirement.
